Resources: "AFL Assist" Program
[July, 2007] As part of our mission, Animal friends has launched “AFL Assist,” a program through which elderly or physically-challenged people in our town can receive volunteer help with their pets on an interim basis. Such help might include transporting a pet to the vet or helping to transport heavy pet supplies, such as large bags of food or kitty litter.
Frank Mellina, AFL board member, will be coordinating the program and its volunteers, and we will most certainly be needing more of those.
